ARE Testing Event on Shenandoah University Campus Today
ARE’s Testing Team; Janet (team leader) Tinkham & Tom (dashing sidekick) Thayer are at Shenandoah University Campus offering Free HIV Tests to students today. We have coordinated this repeating semester event on campus with the help of SU Health Services & Ron Stickley. The local health department has partnered with us to provide Free STD/STI tests.
The school and Ron’s staff have been gracious to us with the use of rooms and promoting the school testing event on campus. It’s amazing the response we get from the students and we gain valuable information from talking to them regarding college risks.
This testing event comes right after “Spring Break” which all the States College students cut loose to unwind, relax and party. We’re there, along with VDH to reinforce awareness to the students and assist those that could be infected from a spring break that could change their life forever.
