HIV Awareness Walk and Ride Recap

On April 9, 2011.. ARE held is annual HIV Awareness Walk & Ride.  The event was held at Apple Blossom Mall & had a good showing of individuals.  There were some awesome prize drawings including the most sought after leather “Harley Davidson” jacket.

The winner turned out the be Chris Mitchell- DJ from Q102!!!! Congrads Chris & wear the jacket well!!

The mall was set up with HIV Awareness “Tips” or signs that gave you info to be educated.  There were also hidden ‘eggs’ with more info & candy for people to locate.  Our good friends from the local PFLAG had an Awareness Table set up along ours.

We thank ALL of our sponsors for making it again a success!! And big thanks goes out to the guys at Coffee Cake Cafe who opened early for our walkers & donated $$$ back to ARE!! yeah…coffee was much needed and appreciated!
